About

A number you can actually keep

VNumbr exists for one reason: getting a phone number for SMS verification should be simple, private and reliable — not a forgotten subscription or a pile of paperwork.

Most services that send a one-time code assume you already have a phone number you are willing to hand over. Increasingly, people would rather not: they want a working number for verification and recovery without exposing the SIM their friends, bank and employer already have. That is the gap VNumbrfills.

We connect to real mobile carrier allocations through our number partner, so every number we issue behaves like an ordinary SIM for SMS — no VoIP-detection issues, no getting silently blocked by strict platforms because of a recognisable internet-calling range. Acceptance is always the receiving service's own decision, but starting from a real carrier number removes one common reason for rejection.

Checkout is cryptocurrency-only by design: no card processor to store your details, no identity documents to upload, no bank connection required. Sign up with an email address, pay with crypto or your wallet balance, and the number activates in moments. We don't share your number, your messages or your account details with the carrier network or with any third party.

We keep the product narrow on purpose: no calling, no outbound SMS, just numbers that receive text messages — a permanent one that stays yours while you keep renewing it, or a single-use OTP number billed per activation.

How our numbers are sourced and run

VNumbr numbers are allocated on real mobile networks through a carrier partner. When you buy one, the number is assigned to your account and activated automatically once your payment is confirmed. It stays yours for as long as you renew the monthly or yearly plan, and every text message it receives is stored in your private dashboard inbox and available through a REST API.

We deliberately keep the product narrow. Numbers receive SMS only: there is no calling and no sending, on either the permanent catalog or the OTP numbers. That focus is why we can keep pricing flat and simple, with the yearly plan working out cheaper per month, and why we can be clear about what a number can and cannot do for the accounts you attach to it.

Payments are made in cryptocurrency through Cryptomus or NOWPayments, or from a wallet balance you top up in crypto. Card and PayPal payments are planned for a later release. We do not share your data with third parties or with the mobile network operator, and the messages in your inbox are visible only to you. Questions are answered through the Support page in your dashboard or by email.

What we optimise for

Real numbers

Every line comes from a real mobile carrier allocation, not a VoIP pool, because that is the kind of number strict services trust more.

Crypto only

No card processor storing your details, no bank connection. A wallet transaction and a working number.

Keep it, not rent it

Numbers are sold monthly or yearly and stay assigned to you while you renew — not one-time activations.

One product, done well

Pick a country, pay, receive SMS. No bundled features nobody uses and no confusing tiers.

Who ends up using VNumbr

Freelancers and small businesses

A dedicated line for client-facing WhatsApp, invoicing apps or a marketplace seller account, kept apart from a personal phone.

People living or working abroad

A number in a home or destination country that keeps working for banking and messaging apps, regardless of which SIM is in the phone.

Anyone tightening account security

A stable number for two-factor authentication and recovery on accounts that matter, so a lost phone never means a lost account.

Resellers building on the API

Developers and small platforms provisioning numbers under their own brand through the REST API, for permanent or OTP use.

Why not a free SMS-receiving site?

Free public inbox sites publish every incoming message where anyone browsing can read it, and they lean on a small, heavily reused pool of numbers. Platforms that filter for this eventually flag those exact ranges, so codes sent to them get blocked or dropped more often than not.

A VNumbr number is allocated to your account alone, on a real mobile carrier range rather than a shared internet pool, for as long as you keep it. Nobody else can read a message that arrives on it.

Private to your account

Only you can read the messages that land on a number assigned to you.

Still there tomorrow

A permanent number doesn't get handed to the next visitor once you're done with it.

Guides for 94+ apps and counting

From messaging apps to exchanges, marketplaces and dating apps, our per-app guides walk through why a number suits that specific service and how to set it up. Not on the list? Any app that verifies by SMS can still use a VNumbr number.

About VNumbr: questions

Is VNumbr the same company as the carrier?

No. We source numbers through a carrier partner and resell access to them — we don't operate our own mobile network.

Do you sell temporary or one-time numbers too?

Yes. Alongside permanent numbers, we sell OTP numbers billed per activation for a single verification code — see the OTP Numbers page.
